Every piece is numbered; the serial number and year of manufacture are lasered into the underside. Drawings and dimensions are on the product page.
Three principles
-
Material
Baltic birch plywood, water-based and pet-safe surface protection. No chipboard, no veneer, no solvent smell. The layered edge is left visible on purpose.
-
Form
Every piece starts on an industrial designer’s drawing board. Proportions built around a cat’s instinct to climb, hide and observe.
-
Lifespan
Replaceable sisal modules and joints that come apart for moving. They use it for years; you enjoy looking at it for years.
One question out of the workshop
Why shouldn’t pet furniture look like furniture? The plush towers in the catalogues meet the cat’s needs while ignoring the design of your home. We cut every piece from birch plywood, coat it with a protection that is safe to lick and chew, and treat it as seriously as everything else in the room: dimension, proportion, joint detail and material honesty.
Our design approachJournal
To understand them
Short, sourced writing on cat behaviour.
Height, a corner to hide in, the right scratching surface. Seven basic needs of a species and how to make room for each at home.
The tail, the ears, the slow blink and a meow invented just for you. Reading your cat’s language and answering in it.
Not a night animal, a twilight animal. Four habits that shift the schedule and three signs that mean a vet visit.
From the workshop, monthly
